THE BOKEH FASHION FILM FESTIVAL AND AWARDS

 The Bokeh Fashion Film Festival and Awards will be celebrated in April 2014 in South Africa which is a first for South Africa.

 In the La Jolla Fashion Film Awards 2013, South Africa did well with 2 Films from Cape Town, garnering 13 nominations between the and winning an award for Best Art Direction.

The Fashion Film is pioneered by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Webber and David Simms. It is fast gaining traction with top fashion houses as a way of showcasing their brand. It not only exposes a collection to a global audience, but also allows for the creative process of illustrating the personality and ethos of the fashion label

 

The audience connects with the film on an emotional level, giving personal relevance to the brand.

 

As the creative hub of sub Saharan Africa, Cape Town is the perfect city to host Africa’s first Fashion Film

Festival in April 2014.

 

The city is already a top destination for fashion shoots and a prime location for international film crews and has a wealth of local talent in both the fashion and film industries. This event provides the opportunity to marry these two thriving industries in the city.
