Hello my lovelies, welcome to the first blog post of 2019 🙂
I feel like 2018 went by so fast especially from September– December which always the busiest time of the year for me , in between creating content for my social media channels, attending events almost daily and trying to maintain my personal life my blog content took a back seat unfortunately 🙁
That is why I have decided to do a recap of those past few months during the month of January which means I will be blogging more than 3 times a week and then once I am all caught up I will be starting fresh Monday the 4th Feb with some brand new content posting 3x a week like I used to 🙂
So to start of my recap, you guys know I love wine farms, like I am obsessed with exploring wine farms and finding new wines I like to add to our wine collection at home, so when I was offered the opportunity to spend the day with AYAMA wines I was very happy.
To start off we were transported to the wine farm for the day which was lovely as it meant we could taste the wines and not worry about driving..bliss 🙂
This warm Italian family welcomed us with a glass of bubbly and a tractor ride around their vineyards followed by us planting our own vermentino vines which was so special. We then got to try their delicious wines paired with Italian meats, cheese, bean soup and artichoke pesto which was so good!
What I loved about AYAMA is they love animals, they have cows that are just there to graze on the grass nothing and enjoy life, they have some baboons who love eating their grapes every couple of months, instead of scaring them, they leave them and after an hour they go away so they decided to make a range of wines named after the baboons.
They produce their own olive oil, which is so tasty I took some home 🙂
A huge thank you to everyone from AYAMA wines we had a fantastic time and a huge thank you to Denzil Jacobs for capturing such a fun day 🙂
I will be attending the Paardeberg Country wine experience at AYAMA on Sunday the 27th January , so look out for it on my stories 😉
Have a awesome day my lovelies xxx
