GOURMET LUNCH ON A SUMMERS DAY

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week so far? This post was supposed to be up on Monday because its lifestyle...so apologies life and admin got in the way lol..

Anyway, last Sunday Nederburg wine estate invited myself and a few friends to try out their  Heritage Heroes Five course tasting experince. Now for all my overseas readers, Nederburg wine estate  has been around since  1791 and they are known all over the world, they are situated in the most beautiful place in  Paarl Cape Town.

I have been lucky enough to have been sent quite a few wines from Nederburg and they are always good, so I was very excited to try out their lunch at their Red Table restaurant.

I was sold when I saw the mountain view we had from our table, nestled under the trees and free and fast wifi…. hello im in heaven heehee πŸ˜‰

FIRST COURSE- Smoked snoek salad and sweet potatoe crisps paired with the Nederburg Heritage Heroes-THE YOUNG AIRHAWK 2016 ( wooded sauvignon blanc)

SECOND COURSE- Pumpkin parmesan fritters, crispy chicken scratching and brown butter paired with the Nederburg Heritage Heroes- THE ANCHORMAN 2016 ( Wooded chenin blanc)

THIRD COURSE- Lentil bobotie samoosas with date chutney paired with Nederburg Heritage Heroes -THE MOTOR CYCLE MARVEL ( Rone style blend)

Graham my boyfriend loves motor bikes he has a TRIUMPH so he was in his happy place with the name πŸ˜‰

FOURTH COURSE- Old fashioned bone marrow beef pot pie paired with the Nederburg Heritage Heroes – THE BREW MASTER 2014 ( Bordeaux style blend)

FIFTH COURSE- Old school trifle with rose water, jelly, vanilla, custard and cinnamon sponge cake paired with the Nederburg Heritage Heroes- THE BEAUTIFUL LADY

The lunch was so good, I can recommend everything and the wines were paired perfectly, at R375  a person,  with  a 5 course meal and wine paired, its so worth it! πŸ™‚

After lunch we enjoyed a private wine tasting sampling INGENUITY from Nederberg wines, it was the perfect way to end an amazing lunch πŸ™‚

So as you all can see I was at Style Bar on Friday, I decided on a shorter style with no layers for a change so I can now grow my hair properly. As always they did a fantastic job and I am loving how versatile this style is πŸ™‚

After all the excitement, Graham and I went to chill in the gardens, get some pics and most of all enjoy the beautiful scenery for the rest of the afternoon.

You guys HAVE to come visit and try out the lunch or do a wine tasting, its such an experience, so next time any of you are in S.A and Cape Town let me know πŸ˜‰

Thank you to my fabulous guests Tammy, Branny, Kia and my boyfriend Graham who joined and  for helping make the hashtag #ONCEUPONANEDERBURG Trend on twitter! Last but not least the amazing people from Nederburg, thank you, we felt so spoilt, we had such a lovely time learning the heritage of each wines and a special thank you to Ramsey our waiter who was so accommodating and knowledgeable and to chef Edmore Ruzoza your food was incredible!

Thank you for reading and have a awesome Wednesday my lovelies πŸ™‚
