NITIDA FOOD AND WINE PAIRING

I have been a fan of Nitida since I first visited this fabulous wine farm in  2009, I did a post on my personal style blog on Chictopia  HERE before I started  my personal style blog and the Fashionjazz website.

It was my first visit to Nitida and the first time I had lunch at CASSIA and after that I was hooked. I fell in love with the ambiance, the decor, the food, the atmosphere and of course the wine and I still go there almost 4 years later. So when I received a special invite to a Food and wine pairing at Nitida I could not wait to attend.

I admit I know a lot about Nitida and Cassia as I am a avid fan, but it was really nice to get the chance to meet the family behind the name…

When we arrived we met at the cellar where we had some of the Nitida sparkling wine and met  Bernard, we then took a tractor ride  to the vine yards where we learnt all about the history of Nitida.

After exploring Nitida a bit more we landed up at CASSIA ( which as I said before is one of my favourite restaurants) where we did the food and wine pairing.

The food was amazing as well as the wine,  learnt so much about pairing everything together and how the wine influences the taste of the food. We got to take home a 2013 Sauvignon Blanc and all  in all it was such a nice day out with the Nitida family,  I look forward to visiting again.

Thank you to Jade and her amazing team from Red Carpet Concepts for organising everything, it was such a fun day and so lovely meeting everyone from Nitida.
