LUNCH AT CATHERINA’S

Happy Tuesday,  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend ?

As you all know my boyfriend Graham plays league soccer in the winter months, so almost every weekend myself and all the other wags support the guys from April-September and they have been doing really well! Unfortunately Graham went and injured himself so hes out for about 2 weeks, but obviously we will still support them,lol I told him the only sport hes going to be doing for a while is sport betting , its harmless and you can do it anywhere hehe 🙂 Aside from that we had a really special weekend, a fabulous sushi dinner on Friday, Mothers day spoils on Saturday ending off with one of my best friends weddings! It was so beautiful, we are s​o lucky to have such special friends in this​ Industry that are so genuine…​

Now back to my post… recently we were invited to try out the lunch special at Catherina’s at Steenberg, I have never been to Steenberg, so I was quite excited to go and I was definitely not dissapointed! Steenberg is so beautiful and Catherinas has such amazing decor, its a fine dining restuarant BUT the portions are huge, which I love!

Catharina’s Executive Chef, Archie Maclean, has created a special lunch menu that is super tasty and seriously good value for money 🙂

Graham and I decided on the 2 course and decided to each have a different dish so we could taste everything…

STARTERS

 

The Confit Chicken Caesar salad

The mushroom and pecorino risotto

MAINS

Sirloin steak

Seafood linguini

 

Dont ask me why I look really red and super bored haha…I was not at all, I was really happy after such a fantastic day 🙂

 

Priced at R165 for the two course menu and R195 for three courses with the dessert (  Rooibos crème brûlée and frozen melktert, or a selection of three seasonal sorbets) this is the ideal lunch menu to enjoy any time of the week. The views are amazing, the ambience and service even better, it really is the best way to enjoy lunch during the week and paired with their award winning wines…what more could you ask for  😉
