LABELLE BISTRO AND BAKERY REVIEW

Last week Saturday I had a fabulous ladies lunch at the new LaBelle in Moullie Point with 2 awesome ladies Clouds Drummond and Katia Beeden.

We started off with some Pierre Joubert champers  while browzing through LaBelles menu, which has a huge variety of different meals to suit anyone.   I was in the mood for seafood , so I decided to have the seafood broth starter, Clouds had the garlic mussels and Katia had the Asparagus and poached egg starter

The seafood broth was really good, it was light and tasty with prawns, salmon, hake and leeks, I can honestly recommend it and apparently its a huge favourite at  LaBelle. Its a starter that you can enjoy in summer or winter and its just enough to wet your appetite for your main meal.

For my main meal I chose the crispy salmon which consists of baby potatoes, cauliflower puree, spinach and olive tapinade.  Clouds had the steak and Katia had the same as me except the spinach which I didnt have.   The salmon was cooked perfectly and the cauliflower puree and olive tapinade complimented the salmon and the baked potatoes perfectly.

After our meal we were deciding whether we wanted to dessert as we were all quite full and then the  manager sent over a mixture of desserts to try.

Each dessert was so delicious and not to rich, the perfect way to end a fabuous meal.

I really loved LaBelle, the venue has a nice vibe with a seafood view in Moullie Point in Cape own, the service was really good and the staff super friendly, I cant wait to go back and try some more of their dishes.

They are open for breakfast and lunch daily, the perfect spot for a your morning coffee or a champagne lunch.
