HOUGHTON ESTATE HOTEL REVIEW

Recently I got to stay at the Houghton Estate in JHB for the HTC ONE Ambassadors events, I was so impressed by the staff and the beautiful place I decided to write a post all about this one of a kind estate.

My friend Sheri Lee and I arrived very early in JHB for the event, so we were shuttled to our hotel earlier than the rest of the guests. We offered a welcome drink up on arrival at the Estate as they took our bags to our room. Sheri and I of course asked for some champers and proceeded to sit and relax in the sun by the pool while we soaked up the ambience.

We were offered lunch at the terrace which was a buffet consisting of fish, meat, salads in fact anything you wanted they had. The food was really good and just what I needed with my glass of champagne.

After lunch Sheri and I decided to go and relax in our rooms and watch DSTV and have a nap before getting ready for the HTC event.
The rooms were very big, very comfortable and spacious and we each had our own balcony/private patio.
Later on we got nibbly so we ordered a toasted sandwhich to share which was 2 sandwhiches in one, very big and very delicious!

After getting ready the hotels private driver drove us to the event which you can read all about here.
We woke up packed our bags and went to enjoy the hotel breakfast in the dining area, you had a choice of a buffet with different cheeses, yoghurts, fruit etc or you could order a meal like eggs benedict or you could have both. I like the best of both worlds so I had eggs benedict with some yoghurt and cheese and biscuits on the side.

The Houghton Estate is a hidden gem, that thanks to HTC I discovered  and will be visiting again very soon.
