GIVE THE OLD,UNCOMFORTABLE SHOES THE BOOT WITH JONES BOOTMAKER

With autumn in South Africa almost upon us now, I’ve been finding plenty of excuses to shop for comfortable and warm brown leather accessories. This selection of shoes from Jones Bootmaker are all going to look incredible for the up coming launches and birthday parties.

Oxblood leather is so striking, so these heeled knee high boots below (centre) are going to be the focal point of any outfit. Paired with a black dress and tights, jeans, or a mac or power-coat, they’ll lengthen your legs twice over!

The flat patent mahogany loafers are just on the right side of masculine. Comfort is key, but they are still beautifully structured. They’re perfect for lunch out this Mother’s Day; they’ll compliment tanned bare legs and a dress beautifully as well as going with any colour leggings or jeans… so they’re a hit all year round.

My favourite however, is the oversized leather shopper handbag. It has separate compartments inside for all your small valuables and a detachable, adjustable strap. Tanned leather products are timeless, so a good quality handbag that will take you anywhere from day to day, for year after year is as much a big investment to the savvy woman as a warm leather jacket or a pair of shoes, or a house, or a car.

But it’s not all just about sensible daytime leathers; Purple is set to be a massive trend for the coming future, with everyone from Christopher Kane to Prada splashing it around their catwalks. These platform suede court shoes are the perfect shade; they’re subtle, but would give a fun edge to an otherwise all black or white outfit.

Gold of course provides timeless glamour. For those of you who are a little unsteady on a higher heel, these court shoes with a pointed toe will give you maximum confidence (bottom left).

Everyone loves a shoe-boot, especially ones with wedge heels to provide whole nights of comfortable partying! What’s unique about these zipped burgundy ones (bottom right) is their plush suede texture. They almost look like a red velvety carpet! But for all-out impact, I’d recommend these poppy red peep-toe stilettos (top right); they’d look incredible with a matching mint  nail varnish on my toes as you all know how I love to clash colours.
