8 ways to add colour and texture to any room.

As all you know by now I not only love fashion but I love decor too and I love to see how other  people live and the  home fabric ,  textures  and colours they use in not only  their homes but also in  their individual rooms

It is amazing how one can transform a dull and outdated room to a vibrant, warm and bright one just by using certain colours and patterns.  If you want a trendy look then add mixed patterns together and if you want a classic look then stick to one colour.

It is not only colours that change a room but the textures and the furniture as well as the individual touches you make to any living room area for example if you drape a fur rug over a couch or add candles and your favourite books to your coffee table.

I  redecorate my living and work space often and so I am constantly on the Internet researching for ideas and inspiring pictures like these below and as you can see it does not have to be expensive you can find discount fabric  at your local store  and do a DIY.  Here are are some great ways to transform your home

1. Floral and stripes with the same colour combination work well together in a big space.

2.Using just 3 colour combinations in a room gives the room a contemporary feel.

3.Beige , cream and tan work well with wood finishes and textures.

4. White furniture and white walls with a dash of colour give a crisp clean look.

5 Adding a pink and lilac  colour combination softens the room.

6.Patterns in different colours give a busy but chic feel to a room.

7.Different shades of blue give a bedroom a calm, cool and relaxed  feeling.

8.Adding  books and ornaments to a wall shelf  is a unique way of adding colour.
