A DAY OF PAMPERING AT SPOILT HAIR AND NAILS

I  decided this year I was going to be more experimental with my hair, I have been letting my hair grow out a bit and  have been toying  with the idea of going ombre for a while. So when I got the chance to go and test out Spoilt Hair and Nails , I decided now was my chance to test out, not only a new hairstyle  but one of South Africa’s top, luxury hair and beauty salons.

I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted by the friendly staff and introduced to Neville whome I had heard was absolutely amazing, he had a look at my hair and I told him exactly what I wanted.

He explained that in order to get the ombre look I was so yearning for  he would have to do it in 3 stages over various weeks  because of my platinum blonde locks.

I  had the most amazing hair stylist before  this and he told me not to go so blonde but I think life is meant to be lived and  to just do what ever makes you happy, so he bleached my locks

( unwillingly lol ) but the upkeep  was to much and I neglected my hair for a bit which made my hair frizzy.  Thank goodness for Moroccan Oil which I use every day  as I think that saved my hair from almost falling out in the process.

I naturally have very light mousy blonde brunette hair which I am not a fan of  because I like vibrant colours to suite my sometimes crazy personality, so  Neville explained that  with the first stage my hair is going to be very dark blonde light brown for a few weeks to repair the condition of my hair so it will be strong enough to colour again  ( 2nd stage )and get the blonde ombre  ( 3rd stage) look I want.

.

So after a nice cup of  coffee, highlights, colour  and a amazing head massage I had my hair trimmed and styled.  I admit I got a big shock when I saw the colour purely because I have been  pure blonde for 13 years so I knew it was going to take me a while to get used this look.

I  immediately felt at ease with Neville, he is really good with colouring and he cut my hair and especially my fringe very well, I have curly hair so its quite difficult to cut correctly, all in all I was very impressed.

I knew as soon as I stepped into Spoilt I would love it, it is situated in the trendy Green Point area,   Vida E is next door ( Hello coffee heaven), they have wifi so I can work  on my laptop anytime and everyone there was so nice and welcoming.

I am proud to be an ambassador and I  look forward to many more hair changes.

In fact this hair colour change has made me realise I have to adjust my make up a lot as my aquamarine eyes now look green instead of blue  and thanks to my new  fringe I can  style my hair differently so for the the next couple of weeks  starting next Wednesday I will be posting the Fashionjazz Hair Diaries showcasing  different ways to style your hair, different ways to wear make up and how I am adjusting and loving being a dirty blonde 😉
