Last week Steve Madden opened its first retail store in Canal Walk, I missed the launch, but I will be visiting soon to see all the fab shoes 🙂
The Steve Madden store is positioned near the Food Court within the centre which places the brand in one of the highest foot-traffic areas, surrounded by a variety of specialty stores.
The 80% leather fabrication, affordable pricing (from R499 for sandals) and great product variety (including sandals, evening shoes, bags and the latest addition of scarves) have resulted in the brand achieving local celebrity status.
Steve Madden plans to open an additional retail store in Eastgate shopping centre in October 2012, followed by a store in the V&A Waterfront and in Durban in 2013.

I went into the store recently and they have such gorgeous shoes. I am so glad that more and more of the international brands are opening up shop in CT!
