FORD FIESTA SPECS

I admit that  when I was younger I was never really into cars even now, but since collaborating with Ford and getting to test drive their fabulous cars….I am quite hooked 🙂

So as you all know I attended the launch of  the Fiesta where I posted  all the behind the scene pictures, but here are some specs that you need to know…

The new Fiesta has…. SYNC which means you have hands free music, hands free phone calls  and hands free texts. Now for some one like me that has a very busy schedule and drives around a lot with  my phone constantly ringing SYNC technology is the perfect  and safe solution.

The car will read your texts out load for you and  as for the music player. iPod®. USB drive. SYNC™ works with them all. Search. Play specific artists, albums or tracks. Shuffle. In fact, play your music the way you usually do. Just tell SYNC™ what you want to hear. You concentrate on the road and SYNC does the rest. You can even stream music on your Bluetooth® phone, wirelessly.

I seem to have a habit of misplacing everything including my keys but thanks to the keyless Entry with Push-button Start your Fiesta unlocks when you pull the door handle, as long as your key fob is in your pocket or bag. Then you simply put your foot on the brake, press the start button and drive away, simple as that…

With the new Ford Fiesta everything is so easy rain-sensing Wipers turn-on automatically and adjust their speed for heavy or light rain. Auto Headlights also turn-on as soon as they sense there’s not enough light so you can see what’s ahead, there are 7 airbags, it gives you tips on how to save fuel while driving and it has the highest safest rating you can get.

Auto Stop/Start turns your engine off when you’re at a standstill at lights or in a traffic jam, then turns it back on when you need to move.

There is also the 1.0 litre EcoBoost which  delivers impressive fuel economy, this turbocharged 1.0 litre petrol engine can match a standard 1.6 litre petrol engine for power, any day.  I know  because when I drove the Fiesta I could not believe how smooth, fast and powerful the car was, its amazing!

If you’re looking for other options, the 1.4L Sigma is an exciting combination of power and fuel efficiency giving you 100km for every 5.7* litres. If you’re more of a diesel person, the 1.6L TDCi also keeps fuel bills low with 100km to every 3.6* litr

How do you get the responsiveness of a manual and the ease of an automatic in one transmission? You let the dual-clutch design of our 6-speed PowerShift automatic transmission give you the best of both worlds.

So the time between services on your Fiesta is now up to 20,000kms for petrol and 15,000kms for diesel.78

One of the best features is the Hill Launch Assist  which stops your Fiesta from rolling downhill for the first few seconds it takes your foot to leave the brake and press
the accelerator, I got to experience that whilst driving to the hotel and stopping on a hill in peak hour traffic.

The best part of all…this fashionable car comes in many different colours including Magenta!!

Ford has out done themselves with the sexy, fashionable and affordable  Fiesta 🙂
