CAPEGATE LAUNCHED THEIR CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL AND IT DIDN’T DISSAPOINT

Hello, I hope everyone’s week has been fabulous so far ? 🙂

It’s been a while since I did a lifestyle post and I know you guys enjoy them, so with Spring coming up my side I will be posting quite a few reviews and obviously visiting several  wine farms  😉

Back to todays post…recently Graham and I were invited to attend the Capegate Craft Beer  festival, I posted EVERYTHING on my stories so in case you missed it, its in the highlights section under events.

I have to admit, before this festival I enjoyed craft beer, however it would not be something I would normally drink, as you all know I absolutely love my wine, however after this festival and tasting so many delicious beers, I’m hooked !

It was held at the Capegate shopping centre in the underground parking lot and I really liked the venue , it felt completely separate to the mall itself,  so we could enjoy a festival vibe with a huge crowd and good music whilst tasting all the beers and gin on offer.

Ok , so what can I say about the beers and gin…I actually really enjoyed all the different breweries and all the branding was quite unique like for example  URBAN BREWING CO with the skulls as well as the gold packaging from VOLFAS ENGELMAN .

The Italian Job Brewery  had a great weiss beer which was  really delicious, so it does not surprise me that it is one of their biggest sellers as  its light and so easy to drink.

5 Angels Gin fascinated me… the liquid is blue,  so when you add some tonic or drink of your choice and it turns pink! I have never seen something like that before so of course I had to buy a bottle to take home with me.  Let me tell you, that gin is delicious !

The Hamiltons  stand was awesome,  they had so many colourful  cocktails, it definitely gave me some ideas of mixes to add with all my gin collections.  How cute is ONE FINE BLONDE packaging from HOPMAN  Brew ?

BOSTON Breweries did not disappoint, they were part of the brewery tour last week and we thoroughly enjoyed their beers especially THE NAKED MEXICAN

The Stellenbosch Brewing Co , have just launched  CANN-O-BLISS Lager which contains CBD oil, it was unfortunately not available to try but I have heard its quite tasty and packed full of goodness. As for SHACKLETON BREWING CO, they offer a very unique ROOIBOS Vodka Iced Tea, which was absolutely divine.

The new WAGON TRAIL BREWERY @ ANURA was excellent, as can be expected from this award winning Wine farm. We were fortunate to visit the brewery last week for a private tour, so can highly recommend their beers and gin which was absolutely delicious, not to forget the scrumptious Cheese & Charcuterie platters which creates the perfect pairing.  Graham and I shall definitively be back in the near future.

We also received a fabulous media gift a few weeks back in celebration of the Capegate craft beer  festival which included some super tasty beers from NOON GUN  as well as some GINNIC  which Graham and I enjoyed  recently over lunch with friends. Last but not least we got to try out a beer cocktail thanks to LILYPATRICK Brewery and White Water Gin…just add a shot of gin to a small glass of beer, garnish with lime and voila you have a very tasty cocktail 😉

OOTD

I chose this outfit because if you saw in my last post I said I was still going to be rocking my cargos haha so here we are 😉 I paired them with a lime green sweater, floral sock boots and my new bucket bag , it was the perfect outfit for walking around and feeling super comfortable and chic at the same time.

A huge thank you to Cape Gate Centre and JackandJillcommunications for such a well run event, it was a full house with the best vibe, craft beer,  gin and entertainment- definitely the best way to spend a Saturday 😉

I once went to a craft beer festival in Split even if I don’t drink beer. I don’t any kind of alcohol but I love craft anything. I think it is great that there are so many craft beers nowadays. I love your outfit too! That green sweater looks great paired with those pants and boots. The bag is lovely as well.

The craft beer industry is really booming, isn’t it? I’m not really a beer drinker, but the names of these beers are so cool. You look super cute in your lime green sweater.
