What a fabulous summer we have had over in the UK and this week has certainly been building up to what is known over here as an Indian Summer, its been so warm and the sun has shone day in and day out. After an invite by Calico Ventures for this, I thought why not take an advantage of the glorious weather and take a trip up to Birmingham NEC for their Autumn Fair, hundreds of traders attend this event to show off what they will have on offer in the stores next year.
The lady I was on the look out for is called Bhavna, who told me (if I remember this correctly means Good Feelings), she produces kaftans, dresses and scarves. Her name sounds very exotic and on arrival at the NEC I commenced my hunt for her stall, I didn’t have far to look:
I was hit by an abundance of colour and Bhavna was happy to show me some of her beautiful creations ranging from this lovely dress, sorry the pic does not really do this dress justice, but I was so blown away by the colours of this dress, its so summary and would look good at beach parties or sight seeing
I was then shown some of her scarves, now these are absolutely wow, all fabrics are ethically sourced from the cottons to the silks, great for day or evening wear, why not jazz up a plain dress with a splash of colour with one of these?
So cute just look at the design on this fish:
I fell in love with this twin Giraffe scarf
For a full range of Bhavna’s creations, visit her website www.bhavna.com, I bet you will be falling in love with her creations as well
After an exhausting day not only visiting Bhavna’s stall but taking a walk around various other stalls exhibiting everything from toys to home goods, believe me, you will need more than a day to see everything it is so big, footsore I boarded the train back to London Euston, on the tube to London Victoria and then another train to home, a long day but extremely fascinating and enjoyable.
Loads of thanks to Bhavna and the staff at the Birmingham NEC
Goodbye from me for now
