36Boutiques offers top exclusive:

Quinn Homme & Krafthaus

36Boutiques, the unique online fashion retailer, is offering another first exclusive to South African shoppers this upcoming week, starting at noon on Monday, 26 July. Quinn Homme and Krafthaus will be available simultaneously, offering members their high quality ranges at affordable prices.

Quinn Homme:

Good quality natural fabrics, cottons, viscos, linens and jersey knits can be expected from Quinn Homme. Quinn Homme is a unique line of menswear, bringing out the alter ego in fashion with its attention to detail and perfect fit. Brains behind the brand, Yaniv Chen grew up with two grandfathers who where master tailors. Having learnt from the best, Chen’s applied this shared talent in his early years at varsity where he developed a range born out of a concern for overspending on fashion basics.

The Quinn Homme design philosophy is simple. “I ask myself…What are the current trends this season and how can I tone the ‘High Fashion’ aspects down to encourage the South African male market to take a step forward without taking a jump. The result is an ever evolving collection of easy-to-wear garments with a subtle sophisticated edge” says Chen.

Krafthaus:

Krafthaus brings a first to the distinctive felt, wool and mohair creations to the 36Boutiques stable sharing her range of handbags and accessories. Not only are the products handmade, but the actual materials that are used are hand-crafted too.

Krafthaus Head Designer and brand owner, Stephanie Bentum, developed a fascination for felt as a young child in Amsterdam. Her parents bought her a pair of red felt shoes and a hat which have stayed with her all her life. Bentum draws her inspiration for her knitted felt products from theatre, nature’s shapes, design ethic, form, function and colour. Bentum has the ability to transform her materials into cutting edge products, made in house, fusing classical and contemporary design.

Bentum’s exceptional fascination for feel, texture and manufacturing of felt and felt art has grown into the phenomenal brand that is now Krafthaus.

PANAMA FASHION WEEK

Seeing as though Cape Town fashion week is in August I thought I would introduce my SA readers to Panama fashion designer Nixia Varela LaMar who will be showing her designs at Panama Fashion Week in July. She has amazing designs!

Panama fashion designer Nixia Varela LaMar (Varela LaMar) designs for women as self-assured as she and all her creations reflect her individuality. Preserving a continuity of traditional style, with subtle acknowledgments of the current, clients find in a Varela LaMar design a vehicle for elegant self-expression.

Happy Sunday to everyone, I have spent the whole weekend packing and we are not even half way. I was supposed to do a number of posts today, but packing has taken up so much time and its already Sunday and I still have so much to do in only one week.

Recently we went to my friend Sianna’s birthday, she celebrated it at Murano Bar at 15 on Orange hotel.

We had the most divine champagne the whole night and of course some birthday cake and then after wards we headed off to The Fez, needless to say we had a fabulous time as we only got home in the wee hours of the morning.

We took these pictures in the elevator, you cant really see but the dress I am wearing has zips all over it and its really different.

I didn’t get that many pics as I always do as we were all having so much fun : ) But Sianna has pics are HERE

Anyway I am off to a friends going away now, they are moving to Amsterdam, have a lovely week my fellow  fashionistas.

Last week I went to the launch of the 2nd series DFS Fashion show, – the DFS team said that the 2nd series will be bigger and better and they were more than spot on!

I wore my favourite jacket, leopard print dress, over the knee socks and lace tights underneath to keep the chill out.

The DFS fashion show will be a series of fashion shows over 10 weeks show casing up and coming very talented designers at Butterfly Studios

That night we were introduced to the fabulous designs of Michel Lisa Johannessen and her label MiLi Jo

The crowd went wild when they saw her designs and judging by the pictures, you can see why. To say that I loved her collection is an understatement, I want to wear everything in her collection for spring and exactly the way she styled everything : )

I love her outfit!

Myself and Michel
